Skill Level

  • Who it's for: Advanced–Expert
  • Why: Sharp reef, powerful wave, tricky cave entry/exit, and strong current demand real experience.

Hazards

  • Shallow coral reef throughout
  • Sea urchins on the reef shelf
  • Strong rip current pulls down the cliff
  • Cave entry/exit, water surges through at wrong tide
  • Crowds, especially at peak season

Local Tips

  • Enter and exit via the cave steps at mid tide, too low and the surge is dangerous, too high and the steps disappear.
  • Dawn sessions offer emptier peaks and cleaner offshores before the sea breeze fills in.
