Our Story
The Surf Window was born from a simple frustration. You can check the forecast on Surfline. You can book a flight. But there is nowhere to find who else is heading to Uluwatu next month, connect with a local crew in the Mentawais, or log the sessions that shaped a chapter of your life.
We built the app we always wished existed.
Years of chasing swells across Bali, Japan, New Zealand, Hawaii and beyond. Living out of a boardbag. Surfing everything from beginner beach breaks to heavy reef slabs. That life taught us what surfers actually need. Not just forecasts. A community.
The best sessions are never just about the waves. They are about who you shared them with.

A More Inclusive Ocean
Surfing gives us something rare. A shared love for something truly special. The ocean does not care where you are from, what you look like or how you grew up. Every surfer knows that feeling of paddling out, sitting in the lineup and being part of something bigger than themselves.
But if we are honest our community does not always reflect that. There are still lineups where people do not feel welcome. Still corners of surf culture where belonging feels earned rather than given.
We want to do our part to change that.
The Surf Window is built on the belief that the surf community should be the most inclusive and welcoming community in the world. The stoke is for everyone. The more we share this love, the richer our culture becomes.
Every crew connection, every trip shared, every session logged is a small act of bringing people together across borders, backgrounds and skill levels. That is the community we are building. That is the window we want to open.

We surf because of the ocean. Everything we love about this life starts and ends with the water. That means we have a responsibility to protect it.
The ocean is under pressure. Plastic in the lineup. Reefs bleaching. Coastlines changing. We see it every time we paddle out and we cannot look the other way.
The Surf Window is committed to being part of the solution. We work with eco conscious programs, sustainable surf brands and ocean protection organizations who share our values. Every decision we make is held to that standard.
As our community grows we want to use that reach for good. To raise awareness, support cleanups, back the people doing the hard work of protecting the places we love to surf.
The ocean gives us everything. The least we can do is give something back.
