Skill Level
- •Who it's for: Intermediate
- •Why: The wave is long and consistent but not overly powerful, a dream wave for longboarders and intermediate surfers.
Hazards
- •Extremely remote, the road is rough and medical facilities are far away
- •Rocky exit points between sections
- •Camping community can get territorial on big swells
Local Tips
- •The drive on the rutted dirt road to San Juanico weeds out the uncommitted, arrive with high clearance, spare tyre, and enough food for several days.
- •Count the points from south: Points 1, 2, and 3 each have their own character, Point 3 is the most powerful.
