A punchy south Carlsbad beach break that picks up swell from most angles, with peaks shifting along the sandbar. Best on a medium south or west swell with morning offshores before the afternoon sea breeze kills it. Park at the south end of the state beach lot and walk north to find the cleaner peaks.
