Hazards

  • Extreme wave size, hold-downs on wipeouts are long and powerful
  • Cold Bay of Biscay water (10–12°C in winter)
  • Long paddle from the rocks, 15–20 minutes in calm conditions
  • No jet-ski support in most sessions

Local Tips

  • The rocky entry point below the cliff in Guethary requires local knowledge to navigate safely.
  • The big-wave community at Parlementia is tight-knit and experienced, observe and respect the hierarchy.
