Shape

Long, smooth wall, gentle and rolling

Length

100–200m

Skill Level

  • Who it's for: Intermediate (especially longboarders)
  • Why: The wave is long and forgiving, but it is a reef break, reef awareness is necessary.

Hazards

  • Coral reef under the wave
  • Sea turtles resting on the beach, do not disturb them
  • Can get crowded given its accessibility and reputation

Local Tips

  • A longboard or mid-length is the ideal craft, the long, rolling walls were made for nose-riding.
  • Arrive early to see the turtles before the beach crowds arrive; marine laws prohibit approaching within 6 feet.
