  • Why: The wave is forgiving and long, but reef sections require awareness of depth at low tide.

Hazards

  • Shallow reef at low tide on the inside
  • Sea urchins along the reef edge
  • Rip current at the southern end of the break

Local Tips

  • Avoid surfing at low tide, the inside reef is barely covered and very sharp.
  • The café-lined clifftop above is a perfect morning session followed by breakfast spot.
